50 Years on the Road: RockTrans' Journey Through North Queensland
RockTrans began in 1975 as Channells Cordials, a soft drink manufacturing company. Over the next two decades, we evolved from manufacturer to logistics partner, becoming a beverage franchisee in 1980, expanding into rail freight forwarding in 1991, and securing major distribution contracts across Far North Queensland by 1999. What started with 3 trucks and 6 staff has grown into a 40-vehicle fleet and a team of 47 dedicated professionals. We've transitioned from a manufacturing and distribution company to a full-service logistics provider for the North Queensland region.
A New Era of Growth (2019)
In 2019, RockTrans entered a new chapter with the acquisition by The Jassar & Manesh Group. The vision: expand operations across Queensland and establish RockTrans as one of the largest regionally based transport operators in Far North Queensland. The transition was seamless—our brand, our team, and our commitment remained intact. Neal Rockley continues as General Manager, ensuring the same integrity and service standards that have defined us for five decades.
